Future Space Conference
Space mining is getting closer and closer. Polish companies do not want to lag behind.
Polish companies specialized in space robotics, observation of planetoids and integration of space systems signed EX-PL consortium agreement, which purpose is to perform series of projects from space mining area. The agreement is response to the Luxemburg initiative of supporting the development of this promising industry.
The creation of consortium run parallel to the official visit of Luxembourgian delegation in Poland. On 28th of March in the Embassy of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in Warsaw, Future Space Conference devoted to space mining and Polish- Luxembourgian cooperation within this scope was held.
Signing of the consortium agreement and formal entry into the deialogue with ith Luxemburg Ministry of Economy and Polish Ministry of Development and Polish Space Agency are crowning achievement of work lasting over one year, but in fact this is very promising beginning of cooperation – says Mateusz Józefowicz from ABM Space company which leads charge for the consortium. Polish companies are in in a very competitive position in the race for future resources which have strategic importance for our country. We entered an excellent niche in space industry, which has not been filled yet by international giants. What we have to do now is to build an appropriate capital on Polish side, so we can maintain our advantage – adds Józefowicz.
Consortium is composed of companies specializing in space robotics, observation of planetoids and integration of space systems: ABM Space, Cilium Engineering, Creotech Instruments S.A.and Sybilla Technologies. Activities are accompanied by the cooperation with a group of observers and partners including PIAP and young teams developing future solutions for space mining – (DREAM – tool for space drilling or WPW-Sat2 – CubeSats used as landers).
